Park Ji-sung will visit Kyoto Sanga FC, the team where he made his professional debut.
The club announced on its website on Feb. 22 that Park Ji-sung will attend the upcoming 2023 Japan J1 League Round 28 match against Sanfrecce Hiroshima on Feb. 23 at the Sanga Kyocera Stadium in Kyoto. Japanese media outlet Gekisaker explained that Park Ji-sung will be traveling to the stadium to watch Kyoto play for the first time in nine years.
Park began his professional career with Kyoto in June 2000 while still a student at Myongji University. He played for Kyoto for two and a half years, scoring 12 goals in 85 official matches. He was instrumental in Kyoto’s promotion from the J2 League to the J1 League in the 2000 season, and scored a goal in the final of the 2002 All Japan Soccer Championship to help Kyoto win the title. The title was significant in that it was the first ever won by a club with Kansai roots.온라인카지노
Park used Kyoto as a springboard to become a member of the 2002 FIFA World Cup Korea-Japan squad, and went on to have a glittering European career that everyone knows. In Kyoto, as in Korea, Park is considered one of the club’s greatest legends.
