Aaron Judge (31), the leading star of the Major League Baseball (MLB) New York Yankees, was selected as the winner of the 2023 Roberto Clemente Award.

The MLB Secretariat announced on the 31st (Korean time) that Judge, who has performed exemplary and diverse charity and volunteer work, will receive this year’s Roberto Clemente Award. This award was established in memory of slugger Roberto Clemente, who died in a plane crash while carrying relief supplies to help Nicaragua following an earthquake in December 1972.

Judge established the All Rise Foundation in 2018 to support youth in the New York Broncos area. He also did various volunteer work in his hometown of Fresno County, California. Judge is the fourth Yankees player to receive this award, following Ron Guidry in 1984, Don Baylor in 1985, and Derek Jeter in 2009.토토사이트

Judge hit 62 home runs last year, breaking the American League (AL) record for most home runs in a season (61) set by Roger Maris in 1961 for the first time in 61 years, and was selected as the league’s Most Valuable Player (MVP). This year, he injured his toe in early June and missed nearly two months, maintaining a batting average of 0.267, 37 home runs, and 75 RBI.
